Positioned in close proximity to the Brisbane International Airport the curriculum at Aviation High School has been significantly influenced and supported by the aerospace and aviation industries. Our school offers Queensland Studies Authority subjects from Year 7 to Year 12 similar to other schools, with specialist subjects such as Aerospace being offered in Years 9 - 12. Where possible subjects have been contextualised with aerospace and aviation content. Subjects such as aeroskills technology (Years 7-10), Aerospace studies (Years 9 - 12) and aeroskills studies (Years 11-12) are also offered at the school. All students at Aviation High School have the potential to gain a Queensland Certificate of Education and/or an ATAR score.
Australia’s major aerospace and aviation companies have pledged their support for Aviation High School including curriculum development, opportunities for students, staff professional development, marketing, awards/scholarships and specialised facilities. Aviation High School's industry partners and formal direct entry relationships with universities and post school training providers establishes an end to end education model from the classroom to employment within the industry.
