Humanities is a multi-disciplinary study incorporating History, Geography, Business and Civics. There is a focus on Australia throughout the topics including examining Australian history and landscapes as well as business solutions. There is a strong emphasis on skill development from Year 7 to 9, analytical and evaluative skills in History, mapping and graphing in Geography and entrepreneurship skills in business. Students are sure to find a topic and set of skills that will interest them and expand their abilities no matter what year level they are in. These include Deep Time in Australia, Landscapes in Aviation, The Spanish Conquest of the Americas, and Food Security to name just a few. The skills and knowledge students attain will serve them well into Senior School and beyond, no matter what subjects they choose.
